Marriages can end for a number of different reasons. A common cause is from one partner committing adultery. A survey conducted by a leading divorce website shows that over 25% of divorced couples realised that their marriage was over when finding out about their partners' affair. When this happens the marriage is often heading straight to the court room and you will need a divorce lawyer.

Cheating partners will often try and excuse their actions. Many reasons may be given for their infidelity, however, it is highly unlikely that any of these will convince the judge that it was not that persons' direct fault.

Cheating cannot be excused. If you have discovered that your partner has cheated on you and you feel you now require legal advice then it is advisable to contact a divorce lawyer. Divorce lawyers have skills and knowledge to advise a partner on the best way forward in the divorce process.

When a couple exchanges vows at their marriage it is a lifelong commitment and if this is broken there are legal implications with respect to the status of the marriage.

One look at a celebrity magazine, or the 'showbiz' section of a newspaper, will most likely result in reading about the latest divorce of a celebrity couple.

All of this can be particularly unpleasant for either partner, therefore a quick and quiet divorce may be the best solution for every party involved as each partner will be then able to move on and get on with their life.

The divorce process is usually not easy. It can be time-consuming, stressful and expensive. A divorce lawyer has experience and knowledge on how to best guide clients through the process to make it as easy as possible.

If a partner has committed adultery, more often than not, sides will be drawn as to which friends and relations are going to stand with who, and who takes whose side; this is not always as straight-forward as one would expect.

A divorce lawyer can not only be your legal touchstone, but they can help you through what can be a very traumatic time, and they may offer some counselling advice as well!
