Michael E. Gerber is the founder and chairman of a coaching, training and education firm he founded in 1977 to transform the development of small businesses worldwide. Now approaching its 30th year, E-Myth Worldwide has achieved stunning results by helping to grow more than 50,000 businesses in over 145 countries.

Michael is driven by passion to transform entrepreneurship worldwide. Coupled with passion is his genius for understanding the plight of the individual entrepreneur. That is the crux of his tremendous appeal and success, and it has formed the core value of the E-Myth brand as it has evolved over nearly three decades.

The E-Myth concept is that broken businesses can be fixed by changing the mindset of the person who owns that business. As the author of seven E-Myth books, including the mega-bestseller, The E-Myth Revisited, Michael has established his revolutionary perspective as the gold standard for small business development.

Michael's perspective has helped many thousands of small business operators to move past entrepreneurial paralysis to begin to work on their businesses, and not just in them. This, then, is the very heart of the E-Myth revolution.

In his book, Awakening the Entrepreneur Within, Michael describes his process of awakening. He realized it was time to step out of what he had been doing successfully for so long to do something that, while related, was a new direction. In this process, his inner entrepreneur was awakened. A flood of new impressions catapulted him out of his lethargy and drew him to places he had never been before. The inventor in him woke up.

From this experience, a new venture was launched, an innovative approach to creating and supporting world-class entrepreneurial startups. At the end of 2005, Michael introduced The Dreaming Room, intensive weekend workshops, and Michael's life changed forever.

In order to drive our companies toward greatness, Michael teaches that we must discover something bigger than ourselves. What are we here to do? In this time of what Michael calls the Age of the New Entrepreneur, entrepreneurs need to look deep within to find the greater meaning. The new entrepreneur is driven by meaning, not by money. That is what entrepreneurs need to bring to great companies.

Michael has identified the five realities of the entrepreneur, the four dimensions of the entrepreneurial personality, and the difference between a vision and a mission. A passionate and natural teacher, he shares freely why most businesses fail and what it takes to fix yours.
